Olivia Bee’s new photo book Kids in Love exposes the essence of being a teenage girl in the raw. The series of photographs, which Bee began collecting eight years ago, uncovers the intimate yet fleeting moments of young-adulthood.
Bee’s photographs illustrate the magic of first kisses, the pain of first heartbreaks, and the apprehension of inevitable change. The moments she captures are the little, bittersweet memories that find us and flood our thoughts before we fall asleep—reminding us of an insecure yet curious teenage time in our pasts.
Bee admits, “All the photos that I make are love letters.”
