Exclusive Psapp Video Premiere!

by Solange Castellar

Psapp, the electronic band known for helping create the “Toytronica” genre, is releasing a new album! Their newest album, What Makes Us Glow, will be their first LP in 5 years, and boy, are they coming back stronger than ever!

Over here at BUST, we’re fortunate to bring y’all their newest video! “Your Hot Knife,” which is straight off What Makes Us Glow, is simple, romantic, and tranquil. Like many of their songs, Psapp makes “Your Hot Knife” sound blissfully sweet. Galia Durant mixes her ethereal voice and the poppy hum from her Casio SK8 keyboard, while guitarist Carim Clasmann gently strums his acoustic guitar. Watch as the duo play their newest song, joined by a group of back-up singers and musicians playing on dustbins!

The London-based band emerged onto the music scene back in 2002 and gained recognition with their Grey’s Anatomy hit theme, “Cosy In The Rocket.” Psapp is best known for mixing synthesizers, percussion, and a variety of homemade instruments in their music. Their first album, Tiger My Friend was released back in 2004 on Leaf Spain, while their following two albums, The Only Thing I Ever Wanted, and The Camel’s Back, were released on Domino Records. What Makes Us Glow will be their 4th album to date.

What Makes Us Glow is due out on November 11th via The state51 Conspiracy. You can now pre-order their album (and receive an automatic download of their track “Seven!”) on iTunes (US and UK) and Amazon. Also don’t forget to let Psapp know how you feel about their newest album on Twitter, with the hashtag #thingsthatmakeyouglow!
