Surprise! Ellen Page is married! Eee!!
Page quietly announced the exciting news on Instagram yesterday, sharing a few photos of herself and her wife Emma Portner along with a simple message: “Can’t believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife. @emmaportner.” Portner also shared a few photos with a similar message: “I get to call this incredible woman MY WIFE! @ellenpage I LOVE YOU!”
Emma Portner, is a choreographer and dancer, and the pair have been dating since at least this past July, writes Autostraddle. Autostraddle also correctly points out that they have shared some awfully cute Instagrams together over the past months.
Page’s rep confirmed the happy news to People, just in case Page’s ‘gram wasn’t clear enough. While Page hasn’t publicly spoken about her relationship with Portner, she has previously spoken about her desire to get married. In 2014, she told the Hollywood Reporter, “I’m so stoked to get married. I’m such a romantic, it’s awful.”
