Crazy talented singer-songwriter Casey Dinkin is releasing her debut album, Right Now For Now on July 28th, and boy, has she earned her stripes. Her “catchy…clever songs” (Times Union) meld soul, pop and folk influences into a soulful, melodic sound that has captured a devoted fan base. Through a successful Kickstarter campaign, they raised $10,000 in order to make this album happen, and that’s a lot of love.
Since then Dinkin has been featured on NPR and has made her mark performing all over NYC, sharing the stage with Rachael Yamagata and Sean Rowe. She’s been compared to songstresses Fiona Apple, Duffy, Joni Mitchell and Norah Jones, but has created a distinctive sound that will surely secure a unique place among them. Dinkin’s gutsy and honest performance is sure to move you, and BUST wants to make the opening night even better for our readers.
On Sunday, July 28th, Dinkin will celebrate Right Now For Now‘s release and perform the album for the first time. It’s going down at 7pm at Rockwood Music Hall, stage 2.
