Viewers of QVC had the awesome opportunity yesterday to watch a full hour of Dolly Parton, and purchase her new album 20 days before it’s official release on May 13th. Audiences soaked up some Dolly, as she answered questions, joked with the interviewer, and delighted the world with her bubbly antics and larger than life persona.
Dolly performed live in front of a Nashville audience with new songs off of “Blue Smoke,” as well as classics “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You.” She managed to gracefully play both guitar and banjo with her approximately two inch nails, an accomplishment in itself.
In addition to her stellar performance, Dolly gave a delightful interview, taking questions from audience members and Twitter, as well as giving advice on marriage- which Dolly knows something about. She’s been happily married to Carl Dean for 48 years.
The release of Blue Smoke will kick off the US leg of her tour starting May 22nd in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Parton will tour throughout North America before heading to Europe.
