I’m not sure where this came from in the tumblr universe. I traced it back as far as tumblr blog, kayliafisher, but I thought the creative readers of BUST would enjoy this fun D.I.Y. nail project! One blogger, Lost In Drawers, gave it a try with some really cute results. She also noted what she would do different in her blog post. In an attempt to find the originator of this idea I’m glad I found one more cute blog to add to my blogroll! (A Texas one at that!).
Here are the D.I.Y. Nail Directions: cut squares of newsprint larger than nails. apply a base coat of polish. when nails are completely dry, soak them in alcohol, then press newsprint on nail and slowly pull off. top coat to seal.
So easy! I know what I’ll be trying next time I paint my nails.
