Cut Out + Keep

by Intern nicole!

Crafty-cool website Cut Out + Keep hit the 30,000 member benchmark today, which is quite the feat. The website, which started out as a personal craft blog for journalist Cat Morley, has expended into a craft mecca, with oh so many craft and other DIY (beauty and food recipes, etc) tutorials posted by members.

While browsing the website earlier, I found tutorials for a Spiderman Bento Box, a Strawberry Cheeze Cupcake, and a charming Envelope Bag with many possible uses. I can already see myself searching for unusual crafts and the like, as well as drooling over the yummy looking recipes that have made their way to the blog. If that doesn’t become a time-suck for you (it can be a rather productive one if you’re not a lurker like myself), you can spend some time on the message board, ranting with members about crafty-disasters, successes, and about all the other happenings going on in your life. If you want some art, music, and entertainment news as well as your daily dose of DIY culture, check out Snippets, Cut Out + Keep’s online magazine, for the latest in fresh performers.

As someone with no crafty-genes in their body, I am insanely impressed with some of the DIY adventures I have seen on there. Maybe it will inspire me to whip up something tasty in the kitchen or grab my dusty sewing kit for some use, who knows?
