Craftacular Vendor Spotlight: Alex Silva

by Maggie Carr

Oh, the weather outside is frightful…but Alex Silva’s cozy handmade knits are beyond delightful. Her intricate circle scarves—in luxe merino wool—are perfect to pair with even the drabbest of winter coats on chilly days. I’m especially loving her candy-colored Aztec Knit Print Scarf:

I’m also dying over these high-waisted knickers in a delicious dusty green. I’m picturing ‘em with an off-the-shoulder oversized sweatshirt for a modern Flashdance moment:

Unleash your inner Little Edie with her braided turban hat, which is exclusively available at the BUST Magazine Holiday Craftacular and Food Fair:

Check out some of Alex’s past collections on her super-stylish website. And don’t forget to head to the BUST Holiday Craftacular on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2 at 82 Mercer St. in SoHo. The Craftacular will be open from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M. both days.
