Correatown Returns With ‘True North’ Music Video: BUST Premiere

by Debbie Stoller

Dream pop band Correatown is back with a beautiful new music video for their song “True North,” and we couldn’t be more excited to premiere it on BUST.com.

“True North” was shot on Lake Lanier, Georgia during sunset and at the Mayan Ruin Ek Balam in the jungle of Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula just after sunrise.

Angela Correa says of the video, “‘True North’ explores themes of steadfastness, celebration and listening for and believing in that quiet elusive voice inside that confirms joy and beauty.

“For the video I was hoping to explore adventures big and small. The longevity and wonder of friendships, and how meaningful they are at any stage in one’s life. The sum of the moments both stunningly epic and mundanely everyday, and the magic it creates in your life.”

“True North” is the first track off Correatown’s upcoming album “Embrace The Fuzzy Unknown,” produced by Correa and Dan Long (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV On The Radio) and out on Highline Records on November 27. The album was written and recorded between 2012 and 2015, during a whirlwind of life changes for Angela Correa: getting married, having a child and touring Europe. The album is all about thinking towards future and contemplating milestones, perfect for any major life change or nostalgic moment.

We’ll be watching this one on repeat.
