There aren’t many things I like better than getting a package in the mail, but getting one from the adorable Gussy Sews as I came into the office was especially exciting. Her hand-sewn totes, purses, and clutches in cheery colors brightened my morning.
Gussy, who has never taken a sewing class in her life, lives in Minneapolis, MN and runs a successful purse business and website. Her blog is helping to form a community of producers of handmade goods. Gussy got her nickname from the goose in Charlotte’s Web and her bags certainly showcase the downhome whismy of the story. In addition to bags, she also sells iPad and Nook/Kindle cases, baby blankets, and headbands.
