Celebrate Women Who Have Changed America With 92Y

by Tess Duncan

I know, I know. We’re a little more than obsessed with PBS’ kickass project “Makers: The Women Who Make America.” But can you blame us? It’s all about strong, confident women who have fought hard for what they believe in and changed America forever. Lucky for us, 92Y, a nonprofit community organization in NYC, is hosting a discussion panel featuring some of your favorite feminists this Tuesday, March 5th, at Kaufmann Concert Hall!

Courageous activist and feminist icon Gloria Steinem, journalist Amy Richards, and the producer of “Makers,” Dyllan McGee will all speak at the event. They’ll be chattin’ it up about the documentary, women’s progress in America, and what changes still need to occur. 92Y will show clips and video from the broadcast AND the speakers will answer questions from the audience. Score!

The event begins at 8pm and Kaufmann Concert Hall is located on Lexington Avenue at 92nd Street. Buy tickets in advance over here!
