Celebrate Murphy Brown on the 29th!

by Intern Tessa

Murphy Brown, the empowering and boundaries-pushing sitcom from the 80’s and 90’s is winning an Impact Award at the 10th annual TV Land Awards. Candace Burgen starred in this show as a successful reporter. It explored her character’s career and personal life, and dared to tackle controversial subjects such as single motherhood, for which it took a lot of flack. Watch its efforts be rewarded on Sunday, April 29th!

The cast will be together again, including Faith Ford, Joe Regalbuto, Charles Kimbrough, Grant Shaud, show creator Diane English and of course C.B. Among the presenters will be Katie Couric and Fran Drescher, so it will be a night of laughs and fantastic feminine fun. And to top it off, there will be an “In Living Color” reunion. Are you sold yet?

So much old-school TV to reminisce about, so little time. So pull out your neon hair scrunchies, slap-bracelets, and overalls, grab a pillow and some popcorn, and get ready to giggle.
