Murphy Brown, the empowering and boundaries-pushing sitcom from the 80’s and 90’s is winning an Impact Award at the 10th annual TV Land Awards. Candace Burgen starred in this show as a successful reporter. It explored her character’s career and personal life, and dared to tackle controversial subjects such as single motherhood, for which it took a lot of flack.
