Former BUST writer Sarah Verdone passed away three years ago after a battle with breast cancer. In her memory, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council created the Sarah Verdone Writing Award in 2011. The award will be presented to a different gifted female writer annually for a decade. This year’s (21+) event will take place on March 11th, almost exactly three years after Sarah’s death. Join us from 7-10pm at Catch Roof, where there will be complimentary cocktails for the first two hours! Bring a donation of $25 (or more!) in cash, or a check written out to LMCC. Celebrate great lady writers and honor the talented Sarah Verdone’s amazing life.
