We’ve been talking about it for years, and it’s finally happening: the Lady Laugh-In, a night of stand-up featuring some of the most ROFL-worthy ladies in comedy today.
It’s going down at Public Assembly in Brooklyn on Tuesday, April 9th at 8pm. Tickets are $5. FIVE DOLLARS, YO! (Please. Try to argue with that. I dare you.)
Hosted by token dude the very funny John Nunn, the lineup includes:
Erin Lennox (Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival, Cape Fear Comedy Festival, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival)
Carolyn Busa (Bridgetown Comedy Festival)
Kate Wolff (Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, NickMom Night Out, Boston Comedy Festival)
Leah Bonnema (VH1, Huffington Post‘s 53 Funniest Females)
Calise Hawkins (Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, NickMom Night Out, Bridgetown Comedy Festival)
We’re especially pumped for our headliner, the badass and hilarious Bonnie McFarlane. She’s made appearances on HBO, Comedy Central, The Late Show With David Letterman, and Last Comic Standing, and co-hosts the My Wife Hates Me podcast with her husband, comedian Rich Vos. She’s also the writer and director behind Women Aren’t Funny, a doc that attempts to explain why so many dudes in the comedy world think that women, um, aren’t funny.
Guarantee yourself a spot at the Laugh-In by buying your $5 ticket in advance–otherwise, they’ll be $7 at the door the night of the show (pending availability).
Don’t be a humorless jerk! Be there!
