Tomorrow marks the official start of the fall season, and I, for one, am super excited, and not just because my birthday is two weeks away. I live for fall: smelling pumpkin spice lattes and hot chocolate wafting through the air, while wearing my favorite leather jacket, black jeans and boots. Oh, how I adore boots!
To celebrate the start of fall, the ladies here at BUST shared their favorite (and for some, their least favorite) things about the season.

I hate everything about fall. Fall = fail.
Laurie, Creative Director:
I love pumpkin flavored treats, à la Babycakes pumpkin/maple donuts, wool tights, boots, sweaters, leaves, pumpkins, Halloween (duh), it’s almost Thanksgiving, it’s not too hot so baking is not a drag, ditto on making beef stew.
Molly, Senior Editor:
Fall’s my favorite season, so there are too many things to list. But among other things, I love checking out the leaves in New England, eating pumpkin-flavored everything, wearing boots and tights, and sleeping with the windows open when it first starts getting chilly.

Breaking out my snuggly hoodie, creepy movie marathons in October, and Day of the Dead decorations in the East Village, where I live.
Lan, Senior Designer:
I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday during fall than picking apples, eating donuts, and drinking apple cider. It’s probably the fall-iest thing you can do.
The crisp air: I swear, everything — even New York City — smells cleaner.
The clothes: Time to take your coats, scarves, and boots out of storage!

Fuck fall, you are the death of summer. Bite me. I do love Halloween, but it would be better if it weren’t in the fall.

The BUST Magazine Craftacular at World Maker Faire on September 29 & 30, OBVIOUSLY. Also, my Halloween sweater (pictured below), girls in leather jackets, guys in leather jackets. Everyone looks sexy in a leather jacket. And shorts with tights, Jane Lane-style, and listening to the Misfits every day starting October 1.
