BUST Christmas Craftacular London Vendor Spotlight: Amy Worrall

by Victoria Woodcock

It’s not long now until the BUST Christmas Craftacular London on December 14 at The Islington Metal Works. Time then to put the spotlight on London-based ceramicist Amy Worrall, who will be bringing her colorful ceramics to the fair this year.

Amy Worrall makes a range of functional and decorative objects that draw on her background in illustration. Her ceramics are inspired by topless girls in Florida and sunburnt Brits abroad on the Costa de Sol, using the majolica technique to achieve vivid, neon colours.

We asked Amy a few questions in advance of Craftacular to find out what what she’ll be bringing to the fair and her Christmas holiday tips.

Have you been to the Bust Craftacular before?
I have, and love it. I’m really excited for the new venue.

What are you looking forward to the most?
I’ve very recently moved back to London so can’t wait for the BUST Craftacular to see what’s been going on in the capital. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to look at the other vendors work. And have a few drinks to get into the festive spirit!

What special items or deals will you be offering shoppers this Craftacular?
All of my ceramics will be discounted, anywhere between 10 and 25 per cent.

How do you go about doing your Christmas shopping?
There are a lot of ceramics being gifted. Anything else I get on Christmas Eve, which is a bit of a family tradition – last minute shopping then to the pub.

Do you have any tips for a crafty Christmas?
ALWAYS BRINE YOUR TURKEY!

What’s your favorite Christmas song?
Marshmallow World, but it has to be the Dean Martin version.

And, as you can see, her work is very BUST-y! Just check out this “boobs pot”…

The BUST Christmas Craftacular London is on December 14 at The Islington Metal Works, 7 Torrens Street, London. Entrance is £3 on the door, with free goodie bags for the first 100 shoppers. Click here for more info.
