Don’t let your nipple tassels and peep-toes miss this for anything! The Great Boston Burlesque Expo and Vintage Fair will be taking place this weekend at the Hyatt (starting April 10-12), which will host a ton of events for the pro to those that are not-so. What’s great about the expo is that it includes everything from a Vintage Fashion Fair and Costume Exhibit, conference, art show, classes, and even a pool party!
If you’re ready and willing as a beginning burlesque -r, take the plunge for the day (or weekend) and attend one or all three drop-in classes offered. Learn how to ‘Take it Off!’ from Miss Honey Dew, or take cue with ‘Bumps, Grinds, and Shimmies, oh my’ (and inspiration for the blog title) from Miss Mina, who can also teach you how to sexually seduce with the essential in ‘Boa Basics’ for only $10 each class. There are also Master Classes taught for and by pros.
Of course, what’s a burlesque expo without burlesque performances? If you’re more of a peeper than a participant, the Rhinestone Revue is just for you. Performances will include classic and modern burlesque performances. Confirmed to perform are burlesque legends April March, Lilly Ann Rose and Dusty Summers, and more.
The Main Event will include more than 40 burlesque performers to compete for applause and prizes!
