Bring your old clothes to the London Craftacular… and recycle them into rosettes

by Victoria Woodcock

Indulge your craft addiction in the DIY Den at York Hall this Saturday! Alongside the yarn-based action (from those wool-crazy Prick Your Finger girls and Knit & Destroy’s Kandy Diamond), you’ll find a rather nifty drop-in rosette-making workshop hosted by Barley Massey, queen of green crafting and owner of the heavenly Fabrications store in nearby London Fields.

Combining a mix of recycled fabrics, ribbons, buttons, sequins and anything else you choose to bring along, you’ll be shown how to “rethink your rubbish” into a natty one-off accessory. It’s free to take part and even little hands are welcome (although they may need to be accompanied by the owner of a bigger pair). Everyone’s A Winner! Chloe Burrows
