Sigh. On their official website, Flight of the Conchord’s beloved Brett Mckenzie today released the following statement: “We are today announcing that we won’t be returning for a 3rd season. We’re very proud of the two seasons we made and we like the way the show ended. We’d like to thank everyone who helped make the show and also everyone who watched it. While the characters Bret and Jemaine will no longer be around, the real Bret and Jemaine will continue to exist.”
No more Flight of the Conchords? One of the very best things to come out of the aughts? (00s?) I don’t what I’m gonna do in a world without Jemaine’s sugarlumps. Without being able to party with the prince of parties. Without sharing a kebab with the most beautiful boys in the room. I am heartbroken. I am sad. But oh no, I’m not crying. I’ve just been cutting onions. I’m making a lasagna..for one.
