Good News/Bad News
Good News: Out of the total 126 medals the U.S. won during the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, female athletes won 67, more than half of the total for the country.
Bad News: Gymnast Jordan Chiles had to send an appeal to the Swiss Supreme Court in order to keep her bronze medal. Chiles filed the appeal due to an arbitration court determining that the last-minute inquiry which had boosted her score into third place was filed a few seconds too late.
