This news is going to kill you- in a good way. The ultra-awesome riot grrrrl group Bikini Kill is launching their own record label, Bikini Kill Records. Their 25th anniversary will mark the label’s birth. The Bikini Kill back catalog is now available via bikinikill.com, eMusic and iTunes, as are the group’s spin-off bands The Frumpies and The Casual Dots.
They plan to re-release their EP in the fall in honor of its anniversary, along with planned re-releases for each of their albums. And if that’s not enough for you, they’re currently in the process of producing merch as well, such as tee shirts and posters. There are even brand new tee shirts currently up for grabs on bikinikill.com, so go get ’em while they’re hot. We’re stoked to see what will come of this new label. Whatever it is, we’re sure it will rock as hard as they do.
