What’s up with the secrecy, B? According to Newsday, Beyonce dropped her new song “Bow Down/I Been On” without any pre-release press or even a friendly head’s up. Which actually seems to fit as this new release is anything but “friendly.”
We’ve got hardcore mixing, lots of cursing, rap, and some crazy synth-sound manipulation, coupled with lyrics like, “I know when you were little girls you dreamt of being in my world. Don’t forget it. Respect that. Bow down, bitches!” and “I took my time to live my life, but don’t think I’m just his little wife. Don’t get it twisted, this is my shit.”
Daaaaaaaaamn! What is this song exactly? A single? An album teaser? New Sasha Fierce-like identity intro? A reply to her recent controversial image issues including lip-synching and a biography on HBO that no one can seem to agree on the quality of?
