Beefy the Bulldog is Skating Across the U.S. to Fight Breast Cancer

by Intern Tessa

Beefy the Bulldog is an awareness raising skateboarder. He has paired with Boarding for Breast Cancer, B4BC, to help prevent the disease by promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. He will be skating at B4BC events, music festivals, Pet Expos, and skate parks in cities across the US to raise money.

Beefy’s mom was diagnosed at the age of 25. That’s why he is especially focused on raising awareness among girls in their teens and young women in their 20’s. Already, Beefy has raised $20,000 for the cause. His new goal is to raise another $10,000 to start a new nationwide tour promoting early detection and education for young women.

The skating bulldog was featured on the CBS reality show Dogs in the City and his new journey will be made into a documentary. If you want to find out more or get involved, check out his website.
