We might think we’re not that influenced by fairy tales and all that childhood Disney watching. But alas, a recent LiveScience study found that even though there are more 30-something single women than ever the “spinster” stigma is still not lifting. The media has traditionally portrayed them as either desperate to get married or so career-driven that they “don’t need a man.” Seeking Happily Ever After, a documentary directed by Michelle Cove and Kerry David, explores the realities of today’s status-quo busting bachelorettes who are redefining happy endings for themselves. So long Sleeping Beauty!
The film will be screened at the California Arts Independent Film Festival, and they’re trying to raise funds to take it around the US!
