Ana Gasteyer is a comedy queen and a mom that I want to be best friends with. And she just put out a super fun and humorous jazz song and video! Her video, “One Mint Julep,” is a black and white sassy nightclub party directed by The Lonely Island’s Jorma Taccone.
Her new video features friends and fellow comedians Jon Glaser, John Lutz, Samantha Bee and more! If you aren’t already in love with the SNL and Broadway babe, from her Martha Stewart and Hillary Clinton skits, or her role as Elphaba in Wicked, now is the perfect time to start falling in love.
She has a very strong background in music and the pipes to prove it, which you’ll see as she belts out her comical lines throughout the song. (My all time favorite line is “ got six extra kids from drinking whiskey.”) Her new album I’m Hip includes this funny and hip shaking song along with “(Theme From) Valley of the Dolls,” “A Proper Cup of Coffee,” a cover of Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats,” and Wicked’s “Defying Gravity.”
