Sew Mo’s Alice Bag is so insanely perfect, I’m considering writing a song about it. I found it during one of my many frenzied hunts for the perfect oversized tote (I just can’t get down with those jingly-jangly leather logo bags), and I seriously feel like I’ve stumbled on the Holy Grail here: Earth-friendly interfacing, lining and interior, with the perfect decorative buttons and hidden pockets galore. I lugged it with me on a recent San Francisco trip, and not only did it accommodate three magazines, a newspaper, a notebook and tons of other travel ephemera, but it never once felt heavy or over-stuffed (unlike my other carry-on, which was not so stoked about the number of shoes I tried to cram in it). Plus, Moira at SewMo was totally cool with my special request for sage buttons on a black bag; she even emailed a few days later with pictures of a gorgeous teal fabric she’d fallen in love with, just in case I wanted that instead. I’ll scream it from the rooftops: I love Moira, I love Alice, I love Sew Mo!
