Adorable Baby Cheetah Adopted

by Emilie Branch

A baby cheetah was born at the Jacksonville Zoo, but started losing weight soon after birth.  The cub’s mother was too old to produce breast milk and therefore unable to feed it. Zookeepers sent the little cheetah to Busch Gardens, where it is currently receiving 24-hour care.

When it is grows old enough, the cub will join a group of cheetahs in the new park habitat. There are only about 12,400 cheetahs left in the wild. This cub, born in captivity is quite possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen on camera. Listen to it chirp!
