A Taste of California With Prints by Claire Nereim

by Erina Davidson

As the fall approaches, you don’t have to say goodbye to the fruits and flowers that colored your summer. Artist Claire Nereim captures the garden in her vibrant and graphic posters. They’re sure to add a little California to any room in the house, whatever your ZIP code may be.

Even in winter, her “Seasonal Vegetables of California” (above) screenprint will have you thinking ‘endless-bounty-and-sunshine’, not ‘impending-blizzard-of-doom’. (Oh, the joy of living in New England.)

Claire Nereim lives and works in Los Angeles. She majored in Visual Art at Oberlin College and received her MFA from CalArts in 2011. Her work has been featured in The Believer, Frankie, Lines&Shapes, Paper and Print Magazine.

Check out Claire’s website to see more of her work, and visit her Etsy shop to get a hold of one of her tasty prints!
