I’ll buy any piece of clothing—socks, underwear, dress, t-shirt—if there are stripes on it. My fondness for stripes probably has something to do with my love for repetition; I find it to be very calming. Also, I think stripes make people look cool, and I like to think that my coolness (on a scale of 1=low to 10=high) goes from a 1 to a 3 when I wear stripes. Pretty impressive.
