I’m loving the new single entitled Madeline by Lissy Trullie. While I’ll admit I was skeptical of her first release back in 2009 (another former model makes the scene?) She has completely won me over, especially here with her deep, Nico-ish inflections and the “Sunday Morning” guitar and sombre tambourine taps. Looking forward to hearing her new album, produced by John Hill (Santigold, M.I.A., Shakira) and David Sitek (TV On the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liars) out next March on Downtown Records.
