Released last May, photographer Virginia Lee Hunter documents America’s gypsies through photographs and interviews in her book “Carny: Americana on the Midway”. Be sure to check out the opening reception and booksigning with Hunter on Thursday, July 10th at 6pm at Umbrage Gallery! Or if you can’t make it out you can go check out the exhibition from July 3rd through August 14th for a trip down Nostalgia Boulevard cuz we all can share the memories of the county fair from a childhood long gone.
Also, I just perused through some of her photos and they’re totally making me feel inspired to hit up some Coney Island post-haste! Shit yeah, summertime’s here!
