Katie von Schleicher’s New Album Is A Homage To Comedy Cronner Harry Nilsson

Musician, engineer, and producer Katie von Schleicher’s fourth studio LP, A Little Touch of Schleicher in the Night, is a pitch-perfect homage to perversely funny crooner Harry Nilsson’s 1973 standards album, is a little touch of cringe comedy; glam rock opener “Montagnard People” has her recounting the perfection of her 25-year-old physique and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s filmography. Plus, a little touch of apprehension; the dreamy ballad “400 Pillows” is about hitting snooze on life when it becomes too overwhelming. And a little touch of (bad) romance; the sweetly derisive strummer “Jeanine” is a self-proclaimed “love song for assholes” written from the perspective of an absolute ass clown.
