Tickets go on sale today for four intimate solo shows with FEIST — whose 2011 album Metals won attention and praise from Pitchfork, The New York Times, and various smaller zines. While this body of work is less pop-y than her previous albums, make no mistake: this lady’s songwriting skills have only improved with time.
For the woefully uninformed, Feist (,Leslie) is a Canadian musician with with deep roots in early-aughts indie rock. She’s landed multiple Grammy and Juno awards for her best-selling albums The Reminder and now Metals; she also fronted Broken Social Scene, back in the day. We’ve shouted her out multiple times on the site, so really there’s no excuse — go see these intimate engagements, if you can! Tour dates are:
April 07 | Halifax, NS @ Rebecca Cohn Auditorium
April 09 | Northampton, MA @ Calvin Theatre
April 10 | Tarrytown, NY @ The Tarrytown Music Hall
April 11 | Portsmouth, NH @ The Historic Theater
