After finding out this week that my very favorite show, Flight of the Conchords, was not coming back for a new season, I was heartbroken. But thanks to my pal Jodi, I've been alerted to a pair of dudes who hail not from New Zealand but from the Old Testament: a couple of members of my tribe (I'm guessing) who, with a bit more work, just might become contenders to be the next FOC. Check out some of their videos below, and Happy Hannukah y'all! [video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEShWaTVxYQ...

Sigh. On their official website, Flight of the Conchord's beloved Brett Mckenzie today released the following statement: "We are today announcing that we won’t be returning for a 3rd season. We’re very proud of the two seasons we made and we like the way the show ended. We’d like to thank everyone who helped make the show and also everyone who watched it. While the characters Bret and Jemaine will no longer be around, the real Bret and Jemaine will continue to exist." No more Flight...

Picture it... an all-drag cast reenacting two timeless Christmas episodes from our fav single retirees, The Golden Girls.  Like a midnight gossip sesh over a slice of cheesecake, it's almost too good to be true.   San Francisco's Trannyshack will put on the holiday homage to Miami's hottest foursome at Mama Calizo's Voice Factory (1519 Mission St.) on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday nights between now and the 26th (excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas). Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.If you could be any Golden...

I'm sure it was created with the best intentions.   I'm willing to give CBS the benefit of the doubt on that. But honestly, their new public service announcements suggesting that husbands give their wives the gift of a pap smear this holiday season are really.....ridiculous. Never mind the fact that if this is really what I were to receive from the man in my life as my Hanukkah gift I would be sorely disappointed, and  how is my guy supposed to know  my schedule well enough...

OMG, This show looks hilarious, The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, produced by Channel 4 in the UK. After watching this clip, I'm hooked. Dream Team: Will Arnett, David Cross, Spike Jonez, and I spied Amber Tamblyn in this episode too! Looks like you can watch the entire episode here. If you like Arrested Development, 30 Rock,  The Office, Office Space etc, I think you'll enjoy. [video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIF3Jo61xlE 425x344] via Comedysmak...

Now that Mad Men and Project Runway are over for the year, you might be looking for some new material to fill up your DVR. Look no further! We've got the buzz on two new cooking shows that definitely sound like they're worth checking out. First there's IFC's Dinner With the Band, a new show premiering on November 24. Chef Sam Mason will be hanging out with different bands and cooking up their favorite tour foods with a little of his own flavor. And after all...

In her weekly video series, 'New Jersey: We're so much More', NJ native, Lauren Mattia, sets out to buck the staid stereotypes of corruption, big hair and bad accents, and shed light on the finer points of life in the Garden State...like airport security breaches, upper-class suburban rat struggles, and fights in the Target parking lot. She's a beautifully funny lady![video:[video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoP1dOXHsuY 425x344] Lauren Mattia: Security Breach in Newark Airport...

[video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlJm078WOmk 425x344] What is that smell? It's the latest from our beloved John Roberts, guest starring Debbie Harry and Sandra Baulo. I really can't get enough of this man. In case you are not familar, go to John's channel on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/user/JohnRoberts#p/a...

If you're a fan of absurd comedies that have no general direction, sets that look as though they were created by kids with a fondness for construction paper, somewhat darling puppets that can be a bit kooky, and a host who is eerily similar to Charlyne Yi, I think you'll appreciate the IFC-mini Food Party. Now, I haven't actually seen full episodes of this new comedy, which supposedly only run 10 or so minutes in length, but from what I've taken a gander at on the...
