Shonda Rhimes and the actresses of her hit TV shows are showcasing their support for Hillary Clinton in a new campaign video recently released by Clinton.

The video features TV show creator-extraordinaire Rhimes, Scandal’s Kerry Washington, Grey’s Anatomy’s Ellen Pompeo, and How to Get Away With Murder’s Viola Davis. Together, the ShondaLand stars express their support for Clinton by describing their on-screen characters in a shared speech.

“Everyday I wake up and play a brilliant, complex, over-qualified, get-it-done woman who obsessively fights for justice. Who cares. Who gives a voice to the voiceless. Who gets knocked down and always gets back up.”

Rhimes jumps in with, “I make television filled with the kind of characters that I imagine we all can be—strong, but flawed. Human, but extraordinary.”

“Our characters are on television,” Washington says. She and the others then add, “The real world has Hillary Clinton.”

Shonda Rhimes and her female power crew of A-list actresses aren't the only ones supporting Hillary. Clinton will appear on this week's episode of Broad City on Comedy Central.
