The newest hair trend that will soon be sweeping the streets is geode hair. Mastered by hair stylist Cherin Choi in LA, these colors recreate the mesmerizing glitz of geode crystals. The dreamy blend looks something like a cross between a rainbow ombre and gemstone hair. Usually, in hues of purple and blue the hair is sectioned and blended down to create an effortless look and transition.

In an interview with Refinery 29, Choi explained that while the style is beautiful and multidimensional, the process of dying and creating it is not as complicated as it may seem. She told them, 'The lightened hair is lifted to a pale yellow, then is toned to a blondish white using Redken Shades 9v/clear to eliminate yellow,' she continued "The hair is completely dried, then the amethyst purple is applied on the midsections, then the moonstone blue onto the very tips. I use a brush and emulsify with my hands to blend the colors.' Being that the process is simple and doesn't kill your hair with bleach, we expect to see this trend to take the hair world by storm. As a matter of fact, it already has, check out these beautiful geode hair styles.
