We’ve loved artist and designer Tuesday Bassen since we first laid eyes on her feisty, feminist illustrations. When she launched a full-fledged women’s clothing collection of cheeky tees, satin jackets, and more for sizes XS to 5X, it cemented our fangirl status. Now she’s added a handful of high-waisted cotton undies to her made-in-L.A. line, sticking with her playful and size-inclusive standard.
With a flattering (and, may we add, full back coverage) cut with Japanese elastic and contrasting panels, the panties feature the kind of whimsical motifs Bassen has become known for, including slyly smiling flowers and peeking eyes in a sea of stylized foliage. At $40 each (shoptuesday.com), the hand-drawn and screen-printed underthings probably won’t be your everyday pair, but we think wearing Tuesday’s art on your ass is totally worth it.
