At BUST, we’re on board with certain parts of so-called “bacon culture”: bacon chocolate chip cookies, bacon chive bread, even bacon tattoos.

But we’re not so sure about this new bacon product: bacon-scented underwear.

J&D’s Foods introduced the bacon-smelling undies today. There’s a boxer briefs option for men and a bikini-style option for women, both priced at $19.99. Both pairs are red and feature the slogan “Stop and smell the -" followed by a strategically-placed image of bacon. According to a press release, the undies feature “state of the art moisture-wicking, scent-emission technology stolen from NASA.” Ew?

J&D’s adds, “This intoxicating scent will last through multiple wash cycles and wearings - depending on the (ahem) strength of your own scent, your underwear should continue to smell like bacon for up to 6 months or even a year.” The undies are not recommended for “mail carriers, zookeepers, veterinarians, dog catchers and walkers, and circus performers (especially lion tamers),” people who own “a large dog with razor sharp teeth” or those who go “hiking in the woods where bears are known to roam.”

The brand also offers a bacon-scented pillowcase, naked bacon cooking armor (basically a bacon-branded banana hammock), bacon lip balm and a bacon-flavored oxygen inhaler. Of course, there are also plenty of edible bacon products like bacon salt, bacon croutons, “baconnaise” and even candied bacon ice cream.
