"One very important thing about Oh Squirrel is that everything has a story," says Katie Wagstaff. So here’s a tale...

Once upon a time there was a designer called Katie who lived in north London. She would make treats just for her friends and family when a New Year’s resolution led to her start her own handmade stationery and gifts business in 2012.

One of the most popular Oh Squirrel makes is the Insta-smash bespoke hen party sashes for discerning brides to be, which began when she made one as a gift for a pal.

Now Katie specializes in wedding stationery and hen party accessories, such as badges, L-plates and celebration flags – all without a shred of tacky pink fluff in sight. She also makes scrumptiously jolly gift sets and cards, all inspired by nostalgia and fun. And with a touch of Northern humor. Bloody brilliant, indeed.

Today Oh Squirrel is a flourishing full-time business and Katie will be at the Bust Christmas Craftacular in London this month. Now there’s a happy ending!

The Bust Christmas Craftacular is taking place on 22 November at York Hall, 5 Old Ford Road, Bethnal Green London E2 9PJ.

Entrance is £3 on the door, with free goodie bags for the first 100 shoppers. Click here for more info.
