Sew Mo's Alice Bag is so insanely perfect, I'm considering writing a song about it. I found it during one of my many frenzied hunts for the perfect oversized tote (I just can't get down with those jingly-jangly leather logo bags), and I seriously feel like I've stumbled on the Holy Grail here: Earth-friendly interfacing, lining and interior, with the perfect decorative buttons and hidden pockets galore. I lugged it with me on a recent San Francisco trip, and not only did it accommodate three...

It's always very exciting for us here at BUST HQ when our lovely interns go on to become superstars. Case in point: check out supersweet former 'tern Buffi Jashanmal gracing the pages of OK! Middle East, being lauded as the Betsey Johnson of Dubai! You can see the whole multipage spread here and be sure to keep an eye out for her label Quiet Riot sashaying down a runway near you! Emily Rems is a feminist writer, editor, rock star, playwright, and occasional plus-size...

Oh, the ladies of the FLDS. Call them what you will, but it's sort of difficult to ignore their place as the style icons of summer '08. Fashion savvy girls and guys spent the majority of that news cycle all but creaming over the perfectly coiffed hair and constructed sleeves, and I thought for sure Marc Jacobs would be the first to send some warped (and probably awesome) version of the image down a runway. Turns out he's been beaten to the punch...by the FLDS ladies...

Why did I just move to NYC? Portland, Oregon continuously surprises me as the place to be for hip and alternative design and music (Musicfest NW is going on there now). Portland-based company Queen Bee Creations just came out with this new line of bags made with sustainable fabrics. They also have some bags made from recycled materials. Everybody really is turning green these days, and I think that's glorious. -Maya the intern. ...

Lots of clothing brands have taken to sponsoring athletes to get their brand name out there, but Quiksilver's got a different take on the same idea. SiteLA is a “communal work and exhibition space” in Silver Lake, California, where six women act as “visionaries in residence” and work on their varying projects during a year-long stay in the house. The women living there now are Beth Jones, a fashion blogger and entrepreneur, Sarah Anderson, an artist and performer, Pilar Diaz, a bilingual singer-songwriter, Dorothy Le, a bicycling...

Thanks to my friend MitziDodge for alerting me to this life-altering musical number, by one of Italy's most famous 60s girl singers. Just try and resist it's charms. Just try and keep from singing it all day long! ...

A while back I claimed that I was going to start posting a weekly (maybe daily..yeah right!) fashion-forward style blogger of the moment. Well, perhaps some of you have noticed that i posted once and then our busy deadline claimed my life and those posts were never again seen. Ooopsydoops. Now that I have time to breath and continue said post...here is the second installment:  Name: Jen   Blog or Website: www.livejournal.com/dearyme   Age: 21Location: La Mirada, California   What you're wearing:  a dark green quarter sleeve cardigan,...
So 30% of this great country is non-white and yet non-white models are a rarity on the magazine racks, don't you think?  In response to this dearth of blackness in the fashion media, Steven Meisel, notable Vogue photogapher and Franca Sozzani, Italian Vogue editior have teamed up to put out an awesome concept for the upcoming Italian issue of Vogue.  Having a reputation for being more daring and more  about ideas than money – Sozzani is issuing an all-black Vogue.  In an article from the New...
