Palm Pictures just announced they will be releasing "Patti Smith: Dream of Life," a documentary about the ever awesome performer by first time film maker, Steven Sebring in September. The film is narrated by Smith herself through her spoken word, lyrics, and performances. Joining Smith in the film's performances are Phillip Glass and Sam Sheppard - who himself has been recently performing a number of NYC shows...most of them free - FYI sidenote.

If you live in New York and/or are just a hardcore Patti fan, the flick will be screening at the Film Forum August 6th - the 19th.
