For the best in "indie-vaudeville-conceptual-art-rock-slideshow" music, look no further than The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players. The Trachtenburgs are a one-of-a-kind family trio comprised of Tina, Jason, and Rachel Trachtenburg; their quirky indie pop songs are inspired by and performed to vintage slides which they collect from thrift stores and garage sales.
The Trachtenburgs previewed songs from their upcoming album, Lost and Found (to be released on July 12th), at a residency this month at The Bowery Electric in NYC. BUST Magazine and Brooklyn Flea are presenting their final show next Tuesday, June 28th!
The night will also feature performances from Light Spells, Roughstars, Long Distance Poison, and Eric Demby aka DJ Treeboy.
