Take that, Christopher Columbus! New York/Los Angeles-based rocker Chantal Claret puts a grrrl-power point of view on world domination with her new single “Conquistadora,” premiering on BUST.com today.

Chantal — who is also an actress who you may recognize from the excellent new Netflix series Love — combines Motown, glam rock and spaghetti western influences to form her own sexy, soulful sound. She began singing as a teenager in the band Morningwood and has had her songs appear in TV series including Nashville and Sex and the City.
