The ladies of BUST are excited to stay up late this Saturday night at the Brooklyn Bowl and do what we do best: JUDGE!
Jonathan Toubin’s New York Night Train's Soul Clap and Dance-Off will celebrate seven years of being the world's most popular soul 45 dance party, and we want you to come out and show us your moves! You can enter the dance contest to win $100 cash (first prize) or a $75 vintage gift certificate.
Special guest DJs will be Jon Spencer (Jon Spencer’s Blues Explosion and Pussy Galore) and Cristina Martinez (Boss Hog). And yes, they're still as sexy as they are on this Spring 1998 cover.
Doors at 11:30pm, so you'll have enough time to limber up before the dance contest at 1am.
The BUST judges' table will include Creative Director Laurie Henzel, Music Editor Tess Duncan, former music editor Eliza Thompson, contributing writer Bridgette Miller, BUST-beloved DJ Sheila Burgel, musician Ani Cordero (Cordero, Pistolera, Os Mutantes) and artist Chris Verene.
