Big news in the comedy world: Kristin Wiig and Bill Hader, two of my favorite funny people from SNL are reuniting, this time on the big screen. Wiig and Hader will team up to star in the dark comedy The Skeleton Twins, set for release in 2013.

The story follows the estranged twins after each manages to narrowly defy death on the same day, adding a supernatural twist to the comedy. As a result, they come together to figure out what has gone wrong with their lives, starting with their relationships. Wiig’s Maggie examines her life with her frat boy husband, Lance (played by Luke Wilson), while Hader’s Milo questions his relationship with an (as yet uncast) man named Rich.

Sounds like there will be some drama thrown into the mix with this movie, and the material carries a bit more weight to it than we’re used to seeing for the duo. Fingers crossed they pull it off, but either way I’m excited to see these comedy heavyweights together again!
