We told you how awesome the Advanced Style release party was, right? And how awesome the book, by Ari Seth Cohen, is? If you haven't been paying attention, get up to speed and check out the Advanced Style blog.
Caught up yet? Don't worry, we'll get you there. Advanced Style is dedicated to displaying the killer style and extraordinary personalities of New York's most fashionable seniors. We can all learn a thing or two from our elders, right? Especially in the trends and classy ways of the past. We're constantly looking to the ladies of old for inspiration, like Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe. Lucky for us, we don't have to reach that far back when we have stylish ladies all around us to give us tips.
But Advanced Style needs your help to take it to the next level. They've been filming to produce a documentary, but need donations to make the full-length documentary come to fruition. What will it be all about? Their page says: "Through our discussion of style, we've started a grander conversation about embracing age and living life to the fullest. Our *senior* starlets share their tips for choosing accessories, and perhaps more importantly, how they cope with their changing physical appearances and abilities, sex at an older age and, inevitably, death. No topic is off limits."
Candid anecdotes from the most stylish broads with the most experience around? That sounds like something I'd pay to see. And lucky for me, and you, we can. Head over to their Kickstarter page to contribute even the smallest donation. Every dime helps!
