A Madonna Biopic Is In The Works — But There's a Catch

A Madonna biopic called Blond Ambition was recently picked up by Universal Studios. The problem? Madonna herself is not so happy. The singer took to Instagram to express her distress over the production, posting, “Nobody knows what I know and what I have seen. Only I can tell my story. Anyone else who tries is a charlatan and a fool. Looking for instant gratification without doing the work. This is a disease in our society.” The post included a picture of herself from her early career. Universal has not commented on Madonna’s reaction.

The biopic will chronicle the early career of the pop sensation — her introduction to the cruel streets of NYC and her start in the fast-paced music industry. The incredible thing about this biopic is that the screenplay was written by first-timer Elyse Hollander. The script was ranked number one the 2016 Black List.

Right now, there are very little details about the film production or casting but we can be sure based on Madonna’s comments she won’t be collabing on the piece. For now, we’ll have to wait for news of the film — Sorry, Madonna, but how can we not be interested?
