If you weren't already excited for Ocean's Eight, the all-female remake of the hit Ocean's 11, you will be now. As of yesterday, it was confirmed that the film will begin production in October, and SEVEN out of the EIGHT members of Danny (Danielle?) Ocean's heist club have been cast. Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, and Awkwafina have all joined the crew, and we couldn't be more excited for the results. Who will the eighth member be? Priyanka Chopra? I'd be happy with Chopra, or Reese Witherspoon, or even someone who's been out of the spotlight lately, like Diane Keaton or Octavia Butler. But I don't care—there are so many fantastic women who could play this role, and there's no possible way I've heard of all of them. I hope the producers surprise me.

It had already been confirmed that Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett were cast, and now we know who most of the rest will be. I can't help but wonder who will play Julia Roberts' character—part of me hopes that it'll be one of the women I just named, but if it must be a man, hopefully it'll be someone suave and biting like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Justin Timberlake, or Idris Elba. Imagine Elba being adorably sassy in his accent. *swoons*

Either way, we're happy about this news. As for the characters, the seven women are playing, it's my guess that Bullock is the title character, Blanchett is the evil casino owner, Hathaway is the right-hand woman, Kaling is the newbie, Carter is the wild explosives expert with the cockney accent, Rihanna is the con woman who's done time in prison, and Awkwafina is the contortionist. But that's just my theory. Who knows?
