It's that time of year again. All I wanna do is curl up with a mug of hot cocoa and watch the "Ludachristmas" episode of 30 Rock on repeat. I know I'm in good company when I say I worship Tina Fey and am completely obsessed with every single project she’s ever touched. So I thought I'd compile a list of gift ideas for the people in your life that are like me and are likely spending their Decembers singing "Imagine Christmas wishes shooting out of your eyes" and teaching themselves the chorography to the "Jingle Bell Rock" dance from Mean Girls. These gifts will make your friends say, "You go Glen Coco!"
I know this time of year especially, we should probably be asking "WWJD?" but this shirt really aligns more with my faith.
If by some horrible oversight, your friend has yet to read Tina’s book Bossypants, you need to put that book in her hands immediately and tell her not to speak to anyone until she has read it cover to cover - at least twice. This is for her own good. Everything she will ever need to know about life is in that book.
3. Kimmy Schmidt Hand Towel
This year, Saint Tina gave us the gift of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and along with that, the wonderful reminder that “females are strong as hell.” Help your gal pal bring this important sentiment into her everyday life with this embroidered hand towel.
4. Mean Girls Nail Decals
According to number 10 on Tina’s rules of beauty from her book Bossypants, “manicures are a must.” Take Tina’s advice with these Mean Girls nail decals.
The best part about 30 Rock is that it’s absolutely absurd. I’ve seen every episode at least 10 times, and I still laugh at every other line and marvel that someone could have written something so hilariously weird. Guess that’s just Tina’s magic. These 4 posters highlight 4 delightfully bizarre pieces of the show. Dare your friend not to laugh when she looks up at them on her wall.
This SNL special showcases some of the best moments from the ladies on the show. Take a look back at some of Tina's funniest sketches and see how she and other funny, fierce females took over the show in the early 2000s.
The product description of this doll is everything: She stands about 18 inches tall and comes with removable slanket and bag of Sabor de Soledad. 'Nuff said.
Perhaps you and your girls need to stay caffinated for an all night writing session. I'm sure Tina and writer pal Paula Pell did it a few (million) times. Keep up your progress with a personalized and punny Bean Girls mug.
I think my absolute favorite piece of Tina advice is "do your thing and don't care if they like it," which was inspired by another badass chick, Amy Poehler. Always keep that sage Tina wisdom close with this tote bag.
