In herbalism, we work with the kingdom of fungi alongside plants to aid in our highest healthiest selves. In this class, we will discuss what traditional wisdom and what modern science has taught us about the health benefits of different medicinal fungi/mushrooms like Reishi, Maitake, Turkey Tail, Cordyceps, Chaga, and Lion's Mane. We will learn how to incorporate them into our daily lives to help our bodies cope with many kinds of health issues from Lyme, Autoimmune, Diabetes, Adrenal Fatigue, and even Jetlag.
Arielle Hayat is a clinical herbalist with a completed foundation course from herbal college, Arbor Vitae School of Traditional Herbalism.
She apprentices at the 23-year-old East Village medicinal herb shop, Flower Power Roots and Herbs focusing on the Six Steps of Healing of the Wise Woman Tradition. There she is able to guide and empower numerous clients in her community to a healthier lifestyle that focuses on wellness from the inside out. Arielle teaches workshops to beginners and experts, consults on botanical medicine, and is an herbal student. Her education in natural plant medicine weaves the methodologies of Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, Native American traditions, European herbalism, and The Wise Woman tradition to nourish the mind, body, and soul of her clientele. Arielle’s specialty lies in protocols for helping the body adapt to stress, to heal mental wounds caused by the effects of tension and anxiety on the body. She also sees clients with issues related to chronic pain, gut/ digestion, adrenals, inflammation, hormone balancing, and autoimmune. Through their work together, Arielle's clients rediscover their inner peace and experience profound emotional and physical transformation.
